Ah, the Obama fan boys try and spin
This was the start of a posting over at Daily Kos today about Hillary's landslide win...

No 60% Point Win Tonight...

Yes, Hillary will win West Virginia big tonight, and kudos to her campaign for doing so; but there was no 60 point win blowout. There will be a 40 point blowout win for Clinton tonight, with 92% of the vote in, but what this means is that Obama did 20 points better than expected by all of the pre-election polls that the Clinton Campaign was claiming early on.

lol, who the hell expected Hillary to blow Obama out of the water by 60 points? Anyone want to chime in as the culpable party?

Wait, what do they mean that Obama did "20 points better than expected" ?

He is at 26%. Did they expect him to get just 6%?

And you're right, who expected her to win by 60%? No poll I saw said anything like that.

This is just another way that they're trying to make her landslide victory somehow meaningless.

To be honest...I was a little disappointed...
However, I think all Democrats should be happy with Travis Childers defeating Greg Davis in Mississippi...

I suppose. A Pro-Gun, Pro-Life Democrat beating an obnoxious Republican.

I'm not sure there's a lot to cheer since he seems more DINO than true democrat, but I guess if it expands the caucus majority in the House...

Gene Taylor (D) 4th District:
100% by the NRLC (Pro-Life)
20% by the ACLU
0% by the HRC (Anti-Gay Rights)
56% by NAACP
A by the NRA (Pro-Gun)
76% by the Christian Coalition

Bennie Thompson (D) 2nd District:
100% by NARAL (Pro-Choice)
93% by the ACLU
38% by the HRC (Mixed on Gay Rights)
100% by the NAACP
F by the NRA (Anti-Gun)
7% by the Christian Coalition

The 2nd District is home to the most amount of urban voters, and Jackson, Mississippi which is it's largest city.

It is harder for Liberal Democrats to win congressional seats in the southern states...

No, I'm in agreement with you, I'm just saying that I don't get terribly excited by Bob Casey clones.

Yeah, if this is the future of the Democratic party, maybe the party deserves to be split in two like pundits fear it will be.

Yeah, I'm not sure it's even possible to only get 6% in an election when there are only two names on the ballot. I mean, the way the media has portrayed them, you gotta figure some of those uneducated, white trash (totally kidding, busting on the "Hillary does well with angry poor people narrative) unemployed, angry Hillary supporters would just be too uneducated to operate the voting machine and vote for Obama accidentally.

I think trying to spin WV to "20 points better than expected" is just not a good use of the Great Kos's time.

There were three candidates, actually - Edwards was still on the ballot.
